During my student teaching I had many opportunities to use art for the good of the broader school culture.
Set Design Club – Twin Valley Middle School
During my Early Field Placement, Winter Break, and first Student teaching placement I worked with the 7th and 8th grade set design club to create decorations and costumes for the schools production of Wonderland. I co-taught, assisted students and teachers, designed projects, and oversaw stage decoration.
Art Show – Washington and Earl Elementary, Boyertown
During my second placement I participated in the art shows at Earl and Washington Elementary school. This included mounting and hanging art work, arranging and labeling clay projects, painting murals and signs, and assisting in set up and activities during the show and facilitating student helpers in all areas.
Bear Challenge Shirt Design
At Washington Elementary in Boyertown, my second student teaching placement, the Life Skills class participates in an adaptive Field Day called the Bear Challenge. They provided the words and design concept and I had the opportunity to create this final design for the t-shirts.
